Our Teachers
Mrs. Terri Stewart
Mrs. Stewart graduated from Grant MacEwan’s Early Childhood Program. She first got involved with St. Albert Creative Preschool when her eldest son attended and she volunteered and sat on the executive board. She began teaching at the Preschool in 2008. She is a strong believer in a “Learning through play” philosophy and feels that through collaborative play, children are able to develop important social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills in ways that are fun and exciting. She enjoys creating theme based centers which allow children to explore art, music, science, books and drama. She enjoys learning and laughing with the children and is constantly amazed at the growth of the students throughout the year.
Mrs. Krista Morris
Mrs. Morris is excited to be the new Assistant Preschool Teacher! She previously worked at an Engineering Company as a Landscape Technologist before taking the last nine years off to stay home with her three children. During this time she spent many hours volunteering at the school, in the classroom and with the student council. She also ran a small day home in her home that specialized in preschool children. She is excited about starting her second career as a Teacher Aide. She is currently working towards her Child Development Assistant Certificate (formally Level 1). She believe that through active play children develop social skills, physical coordination, emotional maturity and the confidence to explore the world around them!
